Mission Statement

The Sidney Police Department is a full-service law enforcement organization dedicated to serving and partnering with our community to protect life and property, protect the constitutional rights of all citizens, pursue justice with compassion, respect, and tenacity; and enhance the overall quality of life for the citizens of Sidney, Montana.

Vision

By earning the trust and respect of all community members, the Sidney Police Department may cooperatively and proactively serve the community through exceptional police services that enhance the safety, security, and well-being of all citizens.

Core Values

Integrity - We recognize that through our position as police officers we are holders of the public trust, and vow to conduct ourselves with honor, uncompromising honesty, and strict adherence to our Code of Ethics.

Service - We recognize as police officers we are leaders in our community, and by adhering to the principles of servant leadership we will strive to put the needs of others ahead of our own.

Respect - We recognize the importance of human dignity, and will show respect and compassion, through deed and word, to every person.

Community - We recognize that we are part of this community, that this community is a part of this Department, and that we can do little without that partnership.

Family - We recognize the value of the family, for all people, but especially for our officers, and we endeavor to keep that a priority in all that we do.
